The performers and creative artists who benefit from Opera Europa Next Generation fall, for the most part, in one or more of the following categories: in postgraduate study; engaged in a young artists programme; have had their first professional engagement as solo performers/members of a creative team within the last 5 years; or have been finalists in a competition in the last 3 years

Opera Europa Next Generation has come just at the right time for me. I was so impressed with the reach of OperaVision when it streamed my performance at the 2024 Neue Stimmen Competition Finals; I was contacted by people from all over the world. And now my (small!) role in Gianni Schicchi at Opéra de Paris is sure to get a bigger audience via the platform.

I am very grateful to Opera Europa Next Generation for the chances they have given me at the start of my career. Being featured in the OperaVision streamed masterclass helped to get me noticed internationally. And now thanks to the support of the European Commission, I am able to share my story of journey as an artist to date - from Mariupol via Montreal to Paris - in a documentary to be shown on the platform in late 2025.
